What is orthopedic acupuncture?

Orthopedic acupuncture is a modern, evidence-informed approach that uses acupuncture, soft tissue manipulation, and movement-based strategies to treat musculoskeletal pain, improve function, and support long-term recovery.
We commonly treat back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, sports injuries, and chronic tension. If you’re unsure whether we can help, feel free to reach out.

Your initial evaluation includes a detailed health history, movement assessment, and a tailored treatment plan. We’ll discuss your goals and begin treatment during the same visit.
Most patients experience little to no discomfort. The needles are very thin and are typically well tolerated. In fact, most patients find the treatments relaxing.

This depends on your condition, goals, and how long you’ve had the symptoms. Many acute issues improve within a few sessions, while chronic conditions often require ongoing care. We’ll create a personalized treatment plan during your initial visit.
Omi Wellness is a cash-based practice and does not accept insurance. This allows us to provide more personalized care and flexible treatment plans. We can provide you with a super bill though if you would like to submit it to your insurance for reimbursement though.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. Depending on the area we're working on, you may be asked to adjust or change clothing to allow for proper assessment and treatment.
